An active kickstart to the new year!

Challenges for everyone

We split into two groups: mountain bikers and hikers. Guided by Melissa and Jan-Willem Moest from Workout Company, we set off. The mountain bikers tackled the challenging trails of the Hoge Bergse Bos, while the hikers took on an impressive uphill route.

Jan-Willem led the mountain bikers over a 7-kilometre course packed with steep climbs and technical turns—an adventure for the experienced rider. “A tough ride with over 160 metres of climbing, but what a rush to take on that course with such a fantastic team,” said Jan-Willem.
Johnny, one of our welders, added: “The trail was a real challenge. It was hard, but we did it! And riding together with colleagues made it extra fun!”

Melissa took the hikers through a hilly landscape with steep climbs, scenic descents, and panoramic views of the Rotte river, the city, and the polders. The sights were stunning and the walk gave everyone a fresh burst of energy.
Eline, our office manager, said: “The walk was beautiful. It was such a joy to get out of the daily routine and be active with colleagues in such a gorgeous setting.”

During the vitality day, we enjoyed the tastiest and healthiest snacks and a nutritious lunch—the perfect way to recharge and reflect on the day’s experiences together.

On the road to a vital 2025

The vitality program we launched in September gives all employees the opportunity to work on personal goals—related to movement, nutrition and lifestyle—with professional guidance. Our second fitness check is coming up soon, and we’re excited to see the progress and results from everyone.
