A love of technology starts with play
When does a love of technology begin? Maybe it was with a screwdriver from your family’s toolbox. A construction set from your grandparents. Or a Puch or Zündapp you took apart to see how everything worked.
At Bos Nieuwerkerk and Heat Matrix, we know that feeling all too well. More than fifty years ago, our own story began with the same curiosity. How can flue gas be discharged more intelligently? How can we recover heat that would otherwise be lost? Those questions made us grow into specialists in complete flue gas and heat recovery systems.
Technology is people’s work
Technology is never just steel, software or sensors. Behind every installation are people who want to make things better — people who search for solutions, push boundaries and feel proud when everything works. We want to keep nurturing that pride — not only among our colleagues, but also in the next generation.
That’s why we think it’s important for young people to experience early on how beautiful technology can be — at school, during an internship or simply at home with a construction kit. Because those who play to discover how things work naturally develop a fascination for the craft — and maybe even a lifelong passion.
Wonder keeps us moving
Even after fifty years, we still look at technology with the same curiosity we had when we started. We keep learning, improving and building solutions that make industry better and more sustainable.
Because a love of technology isn’t a phase — it’s a mindset. A way of looking at the world, of constantly asking how things can be done better. And that’s exactly where the strength of our craft lies.
