Farewell to ‘Chimney Technology’
As Bos Nieuwerkerk approaches its 50th anniversary, the word “schoorsteentechniek” (chimney technology) has been removed from the company’s façade. It has made way for Heat Matrix, the company Bos Nieuwerkerk acquired in July last year.

Fifty years of entrepreneurship comes with a wealth of experience and expertise. But holding onto that means continuously innovating and staying closely in tune with the market. In other words, entrepreneurship with a future-focused mindset — both for Bos Nieuwerkerk and for its clients. And those clients are increasingly demanding more sustainable solutions in their production processes.
Managing Director Martine Goedegebuure:
“Of course, chimney technology remains an important part of what we do. But in this era of sustainability, it’s essential that we continue to invest in that direction as well. With the acquisition of Heat Matrix, we can fully support our clients in recovering heat from their process and flue gases. We now offer the full package — from custom advice to on-site installation — with sustainability as the starting point: turnkey, in other words. I’m proud that this partnership is now also visible on our building.”
